      It discussed several characteristics of natural materials of folk packaging, environmental protection,functional and emotional. From the inheritance and traditional folk creation, the sort of material, material processing, it discussed the natural environmental protection of natural materials. In addition the natural material such as security, the air, can be processed etc good functional. It pointed out the natural material of folk packaging that had the natural simplicity, without adornment, harmonious emotional. So, pay attention to the selection of natural materials in the folk packaging，which could develop a broader space for contemporary folk packaging design.
