目的 科学技术元勘(Science and Technology Studies,STS)理论是目前技术哲学领域的主流理论之一。该理论将设计置于广泛的社会和技术背景下进行讨论,在设计界引起了广泛的研究兴趣。本文旨在系统性回顾科学技术元勘理论与设计的交叉研究,进而为设计领域提供启发性观点。方法 通过文献综述法,从本体论、认识论和方法论三个层面出发,对STS理论中可用于促进设计研究和实践的观点、理论和方法进行了分析和总结,并基于STS理论的视角重新梳理了设计、技术和社会的关系。结论 STS理论中蕴藏的社会建构性思想,有助于设计师深入剖析技术物及其形式根源,以促进对设计之物及其背后社会技术关系的深刻理解。在本体论层面,STS理论能够引导人们重新反思设计的本质;在认识论层面,为分析和阐释设计之物提供了新颖的理论框架;在方法论层面,为运用技术解决复杂的社会和环境问题提供了设计实践路径。 |

The theory of Science and Technology Studies (STS) is one of the mainstream theories in the field of philosophy of technology. It has sparked widespread research interest within the design community as it contextualizes design within an extensive social and technological framework. The work aims to systematically review the cross research on STS theory and design, thereby providing insightful perspectives for the field of design. Through a literature review, the perspectives, theories, and methods in STS theory that could be utilized to enhance design research and practice were analyzed and summarized from ontological, epistemological, and methodological dimensions. Furthermore, the relationships among design, technology, and society were delineated from the perspective of STS theory. The inherent socio- constructivist idea in STS theory aids in the in-depth explanation of artificial artifacts and their formative origins, promoting a profound understanding of the designed artifacts and the underlying socio-technical relations. On the ontological plane, STS theory facilitates a reconceptualization of the intrinsic nature of design. Epistemologically, it offers an innovative theoretical framework for analyzing and elucidating the ontology of designed artifacts. Methodologically, it delineates a pragmatic approach for the application of technological solutions to intricate societal and environmental challenges. |
