The work aims to dissect the pain points and opportunities on the supply side of current products through the systematic quantification of the demand for adolescent vision protection products, so as to explore innovative design strategies for adolescent vision protection products within an evidence-based framework, and form a collaborative solution involving both hardware and software to alleviate the high prevalence of myopia among Chinese adolescents. Through service design analysis tools such as semi-structured interviews, textual Big Data analysis, user personas and user journey maps, systematic user demands were explored. Building upon this foundation, the Kano model was used to categorize user demands, construct a demand framework, and determine the weighting of demand factors by employing the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Finally, based on the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) theory, a QFD "quality house" was developed for adolescent vision protection products to demonstrate the relationship between user demands and product features. A progressive evidence-based logic was employed to elucidate innovative methods for designing service systems for adolescent vision protection products. The comprehensive weight of the visual acquisition function (Y1) and the mobile application (R6) in the quality house was significant, serving as crucial design foundations to confirm the product form. In conclusion, based on the Kano-AHP-QFD model, the evidence-based design workflow for adolescent vision protection product proposes a systematic solution—a "wearable" basic form capable of being connected across multiple application scenarios, a integration of software, hardware, and online & offline services, providing new ideas targeting the alleviation of adolescent vision protection issues. |
